The Government Affairs office for this
prestigious utility company is located at 900 7th
Street, NW, Washington, DC. The project combined the
use of sustainable materials and energy efficient
lighting to further the client’s commitment to the
environment. A key to this project was the
installation of an integrated lighting system that
automatically adjusts the lighting depending on the
amount of available natural light. This was a beta
test for this product and therefore required
significant coordination with the manufacturer as
well as PGE personnel located at their headquarters
in Texas. The use of floor to ceiling glass at the
perimeter offices allows for the daylight to extend
far into the space and maximize the use of this
innovative lighting system. The reception area
incorporates Bamboo flooring, acoustically treated
fabric wrapped ceilings and exposed columns in
addition to a millwork reception desk incorporating
the use of similar woods and fabrics. |
