FOLEY HOAG

FOLEY HOAG
Location:
1875 K Street, Washington, DC
Architect: SKB Architecture

The design of Foley Hoag’s space includes the extensive use of many different types of finishes, including several species of wood paneling, stone, glass and resin panels, numerous paints, fabrics and carpets. It was a unique challenge to integrate each of these finishes and trades into the construction of 14,925 square feet within a 10 week construction schedule. Upon entering the elevator lobby you are greeted by sycamore & madrone wood ceiling and wall panels with stone base and flooring. Adjacent to the elevator lobby is the conference center, which utilizes the same wood veneers and stone materials accented by fabric wall systems and an elegant yet functional Decoustic ceiling. As the client utilizes extensive video conferencing, it was imperative to provide a conference facility that is both impressive and functional.  At each end of each conference room custom sliding barn doors, made of a combination of the madrone & sycamore panels are installed to conceal the plasma screen and white board.
