ALL STEEL
Location: 1725 I Street, NW, Washington, DC
Architect: SKB Architecture

The Allsteel DC Showroom, located at 1725 I Street, NW, Washington, DC, is an example of the integration of contemporary design in a state of the art showroom. Regency implemented the architect's unique design utilizing relocation and alignment of the existing mechanical electric and sprinkler elements to create a symmetrical and crisp upper deck. An extensive lighting and dimming system, mounted on tracks affords maximum flexibility to allow Allsteel to simulate a multitude of workplace environments. The modest yet impressive millwork package includes, oversized crotch mahogany doors in a lacquered glass wall at the conference room, Sapele mahogany paneling and MDF to highlight the graphics at the Terminus wall and a custom mahogany and stone table in the showroom. The focal point of the showroom is a drywall rotunda, accented by round columns and sheer draperies to accentuate the furniture displays. the showroom.
