The Allsteel DC Showroom, located at
1725 I Street, NW, Washington, DC, is an example of
the integration of contemporary design in a
state of the art showroom. Regency implemented the
architect's unique design utilizing relocation and
alignment of the existing mechanical electric and
sprinkler elements to create a symmetrical and crisp
upper deck. An extensive lighting and dimming
system, mounted on tracks affords maximum
flexibility to allow Allsteel to simulate a
multitude of workplace environments. The modest yet
impressive millwork package includes, oversized
crotch mahogany doors in a lacquered glass wall at
the conference room, Sapele mahogany paneling and
MDF to highlight the graphics at the Terminus wall
and a custom mahogany and stone table in the
showroom. The focal point of the showroom is a
drywall rotunda, accented by round columns and sheer
draperies to accentuate the furniture displays. the
